IMPORTANT
NOTICE The Ohio Department of Health, Office of Vital Statistics recently activated the Electronic Death Registration System [EDRS] as an option for filing certificates of death. Individuals licensed as funeral directors [this includes individuals with an embalmer license and a funeral director license] in the State of Ohio received a userid and a password. Unfortunately, if an individual could not register or logon to the EDRS, the system instructed the individual to contact the Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. That is incorrect.
